Competitive Chess Club
Different from the Chess Club，this club will compete and host tournaments（聯(lián)賽） and invite guests to teach and improve our understanding of the game.Students interested in the club from smaller schools will be invited to participate and to help grow the chess-playing community in our area.Playing chess can help develop critical（批判性的） thinking and creativity，increase concentration and memory and improve problem-solving and planning skills.

Ceramics Club
In the Ceramics （陶藝） Club，we experiment with large- scale building projects and unique construction designs.Every year，we hold our annual Pottery （陶器） and Ice Cream Sale，in which we sell ice cream in our handmade ceramic bowls.Students in this club will get a deeper look into various clay （ 陶土） operations and will gain a better understanding of teamwork in pottery.Ceramics Club meets every Thursday from 3：30-5：00 p.m.

Speech Club
For students interested in either Large Group Events （one-act play，group musical theatre and more） or Individual Speech Events （solo musical theatre，speech-making，storytelling and more），we have different speech teams.Members can join teams they like as long as they have enough spare time.The contest season runs from January to April with regular，scheduled practices beginning in November.

Astronomy Club
This club aims to educate students about the universe beyond their standard Physics courses.Students will visit planetariums （天文館） and observations，perform their own observations and explore astronomical（天文的） events.Through these activities，students will be introduced to astronomy，both as a hobby and as an opportunity for future study.This club will meet every Thursday after school.
