I could feel the excitement rising in me as I held the beautifully wrapped present in my hands.I fumbled（撫弄） with the string and then，unable to contain my curiosity any longer，I opened it.It was a shiny，brand new laptop（筆記本電腦）.I had scored straight As for my O level examination and this was my reward.I had always envied（嫉妒）my friends who were exchanging news about "chat rooms"， "instant messaging" and "e-mailing"，all of which I knew nothing about.Now I was going to find out.
