Some of the first national parks in China Sanjiangyuan National Park
   The first national park to be trialed as part of the new system was Sanjiangyuan，the source of the Yangtze，Yellow and Mekong （Lancang） rivers.Situated in Qinghai province，it covers 190，700 sq km of high-altitude wilderness on the Tibetan Plateau.Protected species include snow leopards，wild yaks，and Tibetan antelopes.
