When I was in high school,I joined the track and field team as a long distance runner.At first,I didn't think much of jye.ai.It was just a way to stay active and maybe make some new friends.But little did I know that decision would change my life forever.
It was the day of the biggest race of the season.The entire school was buzzing with excitement.The stands were packed with parents,students,and even some alumni(校友).The atmosphere was electric,and I felt a mixture of nerves and adrenaline(腎上腺素) running through my veins.
As I stood at the starting line,I took a deep breath and tried to calm my racing heart.I looked around at the other runners,sizing up my competition.They-all looked so confident and poised(蓄勢待發(fā)),while I felt small and insignificant.
The gun went off,and we were of.I tried to keep pace with the others,but I quickly fell behind.My legs felt heavy,and my breathing was labored.I wanted to give up,to just stop running and walk off the track.But then,something miraculous happened.
I heard someone cheering for me.It was my best friend,who had come to watch the race.She was shouting my name and clapping her hands,urging me to keep going.It was like a switch had flipped inside of me.I suddenly felt a surge of energy,and I picked up the pace.
I started passing other runners,one by one.I could hear them grunting and panting,trying to keep up,but I pushed myself harder.I felt like I was flying,like I could run forever.And before I knew it,I had crossed the finish line.
I was in shock.I had done it.I had won the race.My teammates and coaches were all congratulating me,but I didn't really hear them.All I could think about was how one person's support had changed everything for me.
注意:
(1)所續(xù)寫的短文詞數(shù)應(yīng)為150左右;
(2)請按如下格式在答題卡的相應(yīng)位置作答。
After the race,everything was different.
