      Susan opened the kitchen door and reached over to turn on the overhead light.Nothing.The electricity was cut off.She used the flashlight app on the phone to find her way.
      Just then，something on the kitchen table caught her eye.What the hell!It looked like a huge flat snake.Kevin，her husband，a practical joker，must have thought this stupid thing could scare her on such a night.As she got closer，she found it was a transparent snake skin.She'd seen lots of them out in their garden before，sometimes even the snakes that had just shed（蛻皮）the skins.But this one was big，very big，almost the whole length of the farm table，about six feet.And it was complete.She could even see where the eyes had been.It was kind of scary.
      Susan began to feel a little uneasy.She didn't like the idea of staying in the dark kitchen with the giant snake skin.Where on earth had Kevin got this thing？She pulled out the phone and texted him，"Your trick didn't work.The snake skin didn't scare me."
