    On our dairy farm，we milk about 55 cows twice a day — at 5 o'clock in the morning and 5 o'clock in the afternoon.In addition to（除……之外） the milking herd，we have several calves，some bulls，and dry cows（不產(chǎn)乳的母牛）.Calves are babies，bulls are the males，and dry cows are the adult females who are pregnant （懷孕），and close to having their calves.So we don't milk the dry cows.Counting（點……的數(shù)目） the milking herd，calves，bulls and dry cows，we have about 130 cattle （牛） on our farm.
    My brother and I help my dad with evening housework on school days.My mum works for the Michigan Department of Agriculture（農(nóng)業(yè)），so she helps out on the weekends.Since the rest of us are at school or work during the week，my grandma helps my dad with milking and feeding the animals on weekday mornings.It's a busy schedule（日程安排） for all of us，but we wouldn't trade（交易） farm life for anything!
    My favourite part of living on the farm is taking care of the baby animals.My least favourite thing is getting up so early，especially（尤其） on weekends!
