      After several hours on the road，Mom pulled the car into a rest stop.As soon as I got out of the car，I felt a cold wind blow and I shivered.We all got out to use the restrooms and relax — everyone except Jesse and Dad.Dad was still asleep in the back，under the blankets，and Jesse was right in the middle of a "very interesting chapter." It was hard to believe that they could bear such a long trip without going to the restroom.
      After using the restroom，we jumped back into the car and were all minding our own
  business.Mom was busy checking the route and my younger brother and I were looking for blankets to keep warm.Out of the corner of my eye，I saw a figure coming out of the back of the car but I was too tired to think twice about it.Mom drove on.After ages，I stretched my arms and caught a glimpse of the others.My younger brother's eyes looked heavy.Jesse was engaged in reading his unfinished book.However，the next scene brought me wide awake.The place where Dad should be sleeping was empty!
